In the composition of numerous industrial equipment, the tubesheet is an indispensable key component, widely used in devices such as heat exchangers, condensers, and reactors, playing an important role in connection and fixation.

 

The main function of the tubesheet is to fix heat exchange tubes or heat transfer tubes, allowing these tubes to be installed in an orderly manner inside the equipment according to a certain arrangement, forming stable heat exchange channels. At the same time, it can also separate the spaces of different media inside the equipment, preventing unnecessary mixing between media, thus ensuring the normal operation of the equipment and heat exchange efficiency.

 

In terms of structural characteristics, tubesheets are usually flat plates, either circular or square, with numerous evenly arranged holes distributed on the plate surface. The size and number of these holes are determined according to the design requirements of the equipment, and they are used for inserting and fixing the tubes. Its thickness needs to be reasonably designed based on factors such as the working pressure, temperature of the equipment, and the arrangement density of the tubes to ensure sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand various forces generated during operation.

 

In terms of material selection, the tubesheet needs to consider factors such as the corrosiveness of the working environment, temperature, and pressure. Common materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium alloys, copper alloys, etc. For example, in highly corrosive environments, stainless steel or titanium alloys are usually selected; while for occasions with low pressure and weak corrosiveness, carbon steel is a more economical choice.

 

The processing technology of tubesheets is also relatively complex, requiring multiple processes such as blanking, heat treatment, drilling, and surface treatment. Among them, the drilling process is particularly critical. The precision of the holes directly affects the connection tightness between the tubes and the tubesheet as well as the overall performance of the equipment. Therefore, high-precision processing equipment and technologies are needed to ensure that the position, size, and roughness of the holes meet the design standards.

 

In summary, as an important connector in industrial equipment, the performance and quality of the tubesheet are directly related to the safe and stable operation of the equipment and the heat exchange effect, occupying an important position in industrial production.
